沙漠里仅有的一片小树林里只住着十几只小鸟。小鸟们过着艰难的日子。

一只小鸟觉得它们的生活环境越来越小，就对它的同伴说：“我们的树林越来越小，如果我们呆在这片树林里的话，以后这里就会变成一片一望无境的沙漠!我们应该离开这里，寻找新的栖息地!”一开始，很多小鸟赞同那只小鸟的提议。突然，小鸟们听到了一个声音：“如果我们飞出我们现在唯一的故土的话，会不会再也永远找不到新家呢?”小鸟们开始犹豫了起来。最后，所有的鸟都觉得还是留下来好。只有一只例外。

这只小鸟为其他的鸟儿们不能接受他的主意而默然神伤。这只小鸟决定自己去找绿洲。鸟儿经过不知多少个日夜孜孜不倦的飞行，终于到达了一处绿洲。

那其他的小鸟有了什么命运?经过几次沙尘暴后，可怜的鸟儿们与同它们的小树林被沙漠埋葬了…

万物应在恶劣环境中及早求生存。而只有愿意经过艰苦的磨练的人，才能生存下来。

There was only a tiny forest founded in the desert. In it there lived only a few birds. These birds led a hard life.

Seeing their habitat was beginning to shrink one bird protested. “Our home is shrinking. If we don’t leave soon, this place will just be a desert! We need to leave this place immediately to seek our true home!” At first, many agreed with the little bird. Suddenly, a voice was heard in the crowd of birds: “If we fly away from our forest which’s our only TRUE home left, what if our “new” home would never EXIST? Look round, there’s surely nothing but SAND around our place!”Murmurs passed through the crowd of birds, hesitating about the chance to leave or stay. Soon, every bird chose to stay behind with their little forest. All except one.

Of course, it was the bird who suggested leaving the forest in the first place. He felt sad that the other birds would not follow his advice.He decided to search for another habitat alone. It was days and nights of untiring flight that the young bird finally reached an oasis.

What about the other birds that stayed? Well, after a few sandstorms, the birds’ home was destroyed, and the birds were buried with their little forest…

All living creatures ought to seek existence soon enough in worsening conditions. And only those who determine to face up to hardships could survive.
